BREAKERZ is a Japanese band formed in 2007 and signed to Zain Records. The trio consists of DAIGO (vocalist, lyricist, composer), AKIHIDE (guitarist, chorus, synthesizer, lyricist, composer, arrangement), and SHINPEI, whose role is the same as AKIHIDE. Musically, the group is associated with J-pop and pop rock, and their sound is built around clear melodies and a polished three-piece band format.
BREAKERZ became especially visible through media tie-ins that connected the band with anime and commercial campaigns. Their 5th single, Everlasting Luv, was used for Detective Conan, helping establish the group with listeners who follow anime-related music. Later, their 10th single, CLIMBER×CLIMBER, was used in Vanguard CMs, where they also acted and performed the song. These collaborations show how BREAKERZ has continued to link its releases with major media properties while keeping its identity centered on DAIGO, AKIHIDE, and SHINPEI.
