An Cafe

An Cafe, also known as Antic Cafe, is a Japanese visual kei band formed in Tokyo in May 2003. Built around a colorful oshare kei image, the group became known for upbeat melodies, polished hooks, bright fashion, and a playful live presence. Its music blends visual kei aesthetics with dance-rock, J-pop, and pop rock, with guitar-driven arrangements and a lighter, more melodic sound than many darker visual kei acts. The lineup has included Bou, Miku, Kanon, Teruki, takuya, and Yuuki, and the departure of original guitarist Bou marked one of the band’s major changes. An Cafe continued releasing music through Music Ray'n as its membership shifted, and gained wider attention in the mid-2000s in Japan and abroad. The band also performed "Kakusei Heroism ~The Hero without a Name~," the opening theme for "Darker than Black."
