Akeboshi

Akeboshi is a Japanese singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Yokohama on July 1, 1978. He began making music at a young age, studying classical piano from childhood and later taking up guitar. Before starting his recording career in the early 2000s, he studied music in Liverpool. His work blends folk pop, pop, acoustic rock, and electronica, often built around voice, piano, and guitar. He debuted in 2002 with the mini-album STONED TOWN. He is best known for "Wind," the ending theme for Naruto, which brought his music to a wider audience. He later returned to the series with "Yellow Moon." In 2005, he made his major-label debut with the album Akeboshi on Epic Records Japan. It was followed by releases including the mini-album Yellow Moon and the album Meet Along the Way. After a period of limited public activity, he resumed live performances in 2011 and announced the independent label RoofTop Owl in 2012.
