Ado

Ado (born October 24, 2002) is a Japanese singer from Tokyo. She began posting covers on Nico Nico Douga in 2017, emerging from the online utaite scene rather than an idol background, and developed a voice-centered style marked by forceful vocals, dramatic phrasing, and a sharp pop-rock edge. After appearing on songs such as くじら's "金木犀" and jon-YAKITORY's "シカバネーゼ," she broke through in 2020 with the viral success of "Usseewa," which reached No. 1 on Billboard Japan Hot 100. Her music blends j-pop, alternative rock, indie rock, and VOCALOID-influenced production, and she released her first album, "狂言," in 2022. She is signed to Geffen Records. Ado has also worked extensively in anime and screen music. She performed the One Piece opening "Shinjidai (新時代)" and ending "Kaze no Yukue (風のゆくえ)," sang the Spy x Family opening "Kura Kura (クラクラ)," and later recorded "MAGIC" for Cat's Eye, a new opening theme for Chibi Maruko-chan, and theme music for The Silent Service live-action sequel.
