In Yuyushiki, Yui Ichii, Yuzuko Nonohara, and Yukari Hinata enter high school as a peculiar but close-knit group of friends. Each girl is eccentric in her own way, yet they get along easily and look forward to spending the next few years together. Wanting to be part of something bigger than their usual routine, they stumble across the data processing club, which has no members and is in danger of disbanding, and immediately decide to join it.
As the club's newest members, Yui, Yuzuko, and Yukari pass the time with wordplay, teasing, and computer searches that lead to amusing conversations. Their days at school rarely revolve around serious club work so much as the trio's curiosity and chemistry, which keep even ordinary moments from growing dull.
