Watashi, Nouryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne!

Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! begins with Misato Kurihara, a girl whose exceptional abilities made her stand out so much in her first life that she never enjoyed the ordinary friendships and routines she wanted. After a sudden death, she is brought to a divine realm and offered reincarnation along with one wish before starting over. Misato asks to be reborn as a normal person with abilities that are average for the world she is entering, believing that a quiet, unremarkable life will finally let her blend in. Instead, she is born as Adele von Ascham, the daughter of a noble family, and discovers that her magical power is far beyond anything that could honestly be called average. Determined to live on her own terms, Adele leaves home and enrolls at a hunter school in a distant kingdom under the alias Mile. Hiding that overwhelming potential proves almost impossible, and every attempt to keep her power under control draws her into more chaotic situations. As she navigates school life and social expectations, Mile becomes involved with Reina, Mavis von Austien, and Pauline, turning her search for normality into a fantasy comedy of misfired wishes and constant trouble.
