Valkyria Chronicles

Valkyria Chronicles is set in the Principality of Gallia, a small nation caught in the war between the Europan Imperial Alliance and the countries of the continent after the Empire moves to seize Gallia’s rich Ragnite deposits. Backed by superior technology and overwhelming military strength, the invaders quickly break through the border and transform ordinary towns into battlefields. When Imperial troops reach Welkin Gunther’s hometown, Welkin and his younger sister Isara join forces with the local militia leader to push the occupiers out of the village. Their escape leads them to the Gallian capital, where the survivors are reorganized into Squad Seven, a unit formed from the remnants of the militia and assigned to resist the Imperial advance across the principality. Thrown into a war they never expected to fight, the members of Squad Seven must learn to trust one another, endure brutal losses, and grow into soldiers if Gallia is to avoid annexation. As the conflict spreads and ancient secrets begin to surface, their struggle becomes about more than defending a homeland, binding the team together as the war closes in from every side.
