Umineko no Naku Koro ni

Umineko no Naku Koro ni is the third installment in 07th Expansion's When They Cry series, centered on Rokkenjima, the private island owned by the immensely wealthy Ushiromiya family. Every year, the family gathers there to discuss its financial affairs and, in this case, the inheritance of the aging family head. The annual reunion quickly turns uneasy as Ushiromiya Kinzou, after being warned by his longtime friend and physician that his end is near, becomes consumed by one final wish: to see the Golden Witch Beatrice, the true love he has spent years trying to reach through black magic. When the rest of the family arrives on Rokkenjima, Kinzou sets a ceremony in motion in an attempt to bring her back. Soon afterward, a violent typhoon traps everyone on the island, and the gathering collapses into a nightmare of suspicion, fear, and murder. With eighteen people cut off from the outside world, the story follows a deadly struggle in which every answer seems to deepen the mystery. As the Ushiromiyas are pulled further into the island's horrors, Umineko no Naku Koro ni blurs the line between fantasy and reality, turning inheritance, belief, and family tension into pieces of a larger and far more dangerous puzzle.
