Uma Musume: Pretty Derby

Uma Musume: Pretty Derby takes place in a world where the spirits of legendary racehorses are reborn as horse girls, inheriting their names, speed, and fierce competitive drive. At Tracen Academy, these athletes train, study, and race in the hope of shining under the spotlight and measuring themselves against the legends that inspired them. The series frames each race as a test of talent, discipline, and heart, with every finish line carrying the weight of personal ambition and collective pride. The franchise follows determined runners such as Special Week, who leaves the countryside for Tokyo with one dream: becoming Japan’s best. Her path brings her into contact with Silence Suzuka, whose graceful pace becomes both an inspiration and a standard to chase. Across the Uma Musume adaptations, the story balances sports drama, spirited rivalries, and team camaraderie with a constant sense of momentum, whether the girls are facing training setbacks, the pressure of expectations, or the thrill of race day. What keeps the franchise moving is not only victory, but persistence, friendship, and the promise that every run can turn a dream into a finish worth remembering.
