Ulysses: Jeanne d'Arc to Renkin no Kishi

In Ulysses: Jeanne d'Arc to Renkin no Kishi, 15th-century France is locked in the Hundred Years' War with England, a struggle over the succession to the French throne. Montmorency, the son of a noble, devotes himself to the study of magic and alchemy at a royal knight training school, pursuing knowledge while his country edges toward collapse. France's crushing defeat at Agincourt destroys that world: the school is dissolved, Montmorency loses everything, and the newly made alchemist is forced into hiding as a wanted man. During his flight, he encounters a mysterious village girl named Jeanne d'Arc. That meeting pulls him into a conflict where medieval warfare and occult forces overlap. As France fractures under military defeat and political instability, Montmorency becomes entangled with figures such as Astaroth, Arthur de Richemont, La Hire, and Charlotte, whose loyalties shape the struggle around him. The series blends battlefield drama, alchemical lore, and legend to follow how a fugitive scholar and an extraordinary girl become tied to the fate of a kingdom.
