Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria

Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria is set in a world where humanity was once driven to the brink by the mysterious Celestial Hosts. To stop them, five extraordinary mages known as the Magia Vander united their power, raised a magical dome, and built the Wizard's Tower to contain the threat. Since then, the five strongest mages of each generation have been charged with watching over the dome from the tower's summit. At the center of that legacy are childhood friends Will Serfort and Elfaria Albis Serfort, who promised one another they would climb to the top of the Wizard's Tower together. Years later, Will is a sixth-year student at Regarden Magic Academy with no magical abilities at all, a weakness that earns him the contempt of teachers and classmates alike. Elfaria, meanwhile, has already risen to the ranks of the Magia Vander thanks to her unparalleled magical power. Even without magic, Will possesses an exceptional physique that lets him cut down monsters in the labyrinth and stand against skilled magicians using only his sword and a few magical items. Refusing to let talent, prejudice, or circumstance break the promise he made to Elfaria, he keeps pushing toward the tower at any cost.
