Terra Formars is set in a brutal future where humanity's attempt to make Mars habitable creates a nightmare of its own. In the 21st century, scientists send algae and cockroaches to the red planet, hoping the simple organisms will help transform its environment. Instead, the insects adapt with terrifying success. By the 26th century, Earth is ravaged by the deadly Alien Engine Virus, and the rumored cure may lie on Mars, forcing humanity to confront the consequences of its earliest colonization experiments.
What awaits there is not an empty wasteland, but the Terraformars: powerful, intelligent humanoid cockroaches descended from the creatures left behind on the planet. To recover the cure and uncover the source of the virus, the Annex I expedition is sent to Mars. Its crew consists of one hundred men and women, each genetically enhanced with traits taken from powerful organisms on Earth, giving them the strength needed to endure the mission.
Even with those enhancements, survival is far from guaranteed. With the Terraformars controlling Mars, every advance becomes a fight, and the expedition turns into a desperate struggle between humanity's last hope and the evolution it helped unleash.
