Tenmaku no Jaadugar

Tenmaku no Jaadugar unfolds in the harem of the Khan, where wisdom is treated as beauty and knowledge can alter the course of power. Set in the thirteenth century within the Yeke Mongol Ulus, the greatest empire the world has ever known, the story follows Fatima, a woman from Persia who arrives with medical technique and scientific knowledge refined beyond all precedent. She comes to the Mongol palace hoping for a place where her abilities can finally be put to use, but instead finds herself drawn into the dangerous logic of court life. There, Fatima falls under the wing of Töregene, the sixth wife of Ögedei, the second Great Khan. Töregene is a formidable figure with complicated feelings about the direction of the empire, and her relationship with Fatima places both women at the center of palace politics. As alliances shift and ambitions surface, their bond becomes the axis around which the intrigues of the court — and eventually the wider world — begin to turn.
