Taboo Tattoo follows Seigi, a middle schooler whose only remarkable trait is his martial arts skill and a stubborn desire to protect the weak. After he steps in to defend an old homeless man from street thugs, the stranger repays him by burning a mysterious tattoo into the palm of Seigi's hand. What should have been a random act of gratitude quickly turns into a dangerous hunt, because the mark is no ordinary tattoo: it is a powerful secret weapon that everyone wants, including a formidable girl with a tattoo of her own.
Thrown into a conflict he never asked for, Seigi has to rely on more than strength of character. His martial arts alone are no match for super-powered foes, and every encounter forces him to learn what the tattoo can do and why it has become so valuable.
