Space Patrol Luluco follows Luluco in Ogikubo, an intergalactic melting pot of humans and aliens and the only Space Immigration Zone on Earth, where everyday life already sits just one step away from chaos. Luluco is a bubbly middle school girl who wants nothing more than to live as an ordinary student, but that goal disappears in an instant when her father, who works for the Space Patrol, accidentally eats a volatile sleep capsule and is frozen solid. In the confusion that follows, Luluco breaks him by mistake and hurries to her father's office for help, only to stumble into a far stranger life than the quiet routine she planned.
At Space Patrol headquarters, the chief, Over Justice, recruits Luluco as a temporary undercover agent so the organization can crack down on crime at her school. Forced into the Space Patrol suit, she is sent out to enforce justice while trying to protect the image of a normal girl who never stands out. The suit's automatic systems and its own fervent sense of judgment, however, make subtlety impossible, turning simple assignments into absurd investigations, public spectacle, and escalating chaos. With every mission, Luluco drifts further from the ordinary life she wanted and deeper into a world where justice, embarrassment, and disaster arrive together.
