Whisper Me a Love Song follows Himari Kino, a cheerful high school freshman who can make friends with almost anyone she meets, and Yori Asanagi, a reserved upperclassman whose band performance captures Himari’s attention the moment school begins. During the freshman opening ceremony, Himari is swept up by Yori’s music and blurts out a confession after the show, only to discover that Yori is inexperienced when it comes to romance and unsure how to respond.
What starts as an awkward misunderstanding gradually becomes something much more delicate. After realizing that Himari fell in love with her music and performance rather than with her as a person, Yori decides she wants to make Himari truly fall for her. The two begin spending time together after school on the rooftop, where Yori usually plays her guitar, and those quiet meetings become the setting for a growing bond built on curiosity, honesty, and affection.
Set against the rhythms of school life and live music, Whisper Me a Love Song centers on the fragile moment when admiration starts turning into love.
