Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga

Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga. follows a newly blended family trying to find its footing after Mr. and Mrs. Kanzaki marry and bring their teenage children into the same household. High school freshman Mitsuki Kanzaki is especially resistant to the change, still shaped by a painful history of absent and abusive father figures and slow to accept her stepfather and stepbrother. An accident changes Mitsuki's life in an even stranger way: she is possessed by the ghost of Hiyori Kotobuki, a girl her age who was deeply in love with Mitsuki's stepbrother, Yuuya. Hiyori cannot move on because of her unrequited feelings, and Mitsuki becomes the unwilling vessel through which those emotions continue to play out. Suddenly, Mitsuki must share her body and her daily life with a pushy, amorous spirit whose unresolved desire for Yuuya complicates every part of her new reality. As Mitsuki struggles to protect her own identity, she is also forced to confront her distrust of her new family and the growing tension around Hiyori's lingering attachment. The story follows the collision of family adjustment, supernatural intrusion, and tangled emotions as Mitsuki tries to understand Hiyori, survive the arrangement, and face feelings she may not fully recognize in herself.
