Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin unfolds on Nanae Island, a man-made island in the Pacific Ocean created by the Great Seven, a legendary group of adventurers who dreamed of building a place where children could live, study, and pursue their ambitions. Beneath that ideal foundation lies a darker mystery surrounding Nanana Ryuugajou, one of the island’s founders, whose unsolved murder left her spirit bound to the island ten years later.
After being disowned and exiled by his family, high school student Juugo Yama arrives on Nanae Island hoping to start over and enjoy the freedom he was denied at home. Instead, he finds the ghost of Nanana in his room, and she reveals that before her death she scattered the Nanana Collection across the island: strange treasures with unique and mysterious powers. As Juugo begins searching for them, he hopes the clues will lead him to the truth behind Nanana’s death. He is soon joined by the self-proclaimed "Master Detective" Tensai Ikkyuu and her cross-dressing maid Daruku Hoshino, turning the hunt into a lively mix of treasure chase, comedy, and mystery driven by secret clues, rival interests, and the promise of uncovering what really happened to Nanana.
