Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime (Belle) unfolds in U, a vast social media platform where billions of users build virtual personas and begin again behind masks. Among those avatars, one singer rises above the noise: Belle, whose voice spreads quickly through the network and draws admiration as well as suspicion. As curiosity grows around the mysterious girl behind the songs, the story turns toward Suzu Naito, a shy teenager from the countryside who has been unable to sing since a painful trauma left her overwhelmed by panic and illness.
When Suzu enters U, she finally finds a way to project her voice again, and the alias Belle gives her the confidence to reach people she could not face in real life. Her performances go viral, but fame in the digital world brings its own pressures, and her popularity soon collides with rumors about a violent beast known only as “The Dragon.” After a chance meeting during one of Belle’s concerts, Suzu begins to see that the creature may not be the monster everyone believes him to be. Caught between the anonymity of U and the reality of her own life, Suzu must confront identity, fame, and the fear of opening her heart.
