Ro-Kyu-Bu!

Ro-Kyu-Bu! centers on Subaru Hasegawa, a boy who dreams of becoming one of the greatest basketball stars of all time. That ambition stalls when his school's team ceases activities for a year, leaving him shocked enough to step away from the sport altogether. At Nanashiba High, the suspension follows a scandal around the club, and Subaru's hopes of shining on the court come to an abrupt halt. His break from basketball ends when his aunt, Mihoshi Takamura, asks him to coach the girls' team at Keishin Academy, and he reluctantly agrees. There he meets five sixth-graders—Tomoka Minato, Maho Misawa, Airi Kashii, Hinata Hakamada, and Saki Nagatsuki—who have enthusiasm but little experience. As Subaru teaches them the game and helps turn their cute style of play into something more competitive, the series follows the efforts of the five elementary school girls and their coach as they improve together and challenge stronger opponents along the way.
