Re-Main follows Minato Kiyomizu, a high school student whose life is split in two after he wakes from a long coma with no memory of his middle school years. Before the accident, Minato was a gifted water polo player, but when he returns to the pool, the talent and instincts he once depended on no longer feel certain. At Yamanami High School, he joins the water polo club and steps into a team that is still trying to rebuild itself into a group capable of competing in serious matches.
As Minato relearns the sport, Re-Main focuses on more than lost technique. It traces the frustration of starting over, the strain of facing the gap between who he used to be and who he has become, and the challenge of trusting people he cannot fully remember. Training sessions, practice matches, and the pressure to prove themselves shape the club’s growth, while the bonds Minato forms with his teammates give him a reason to keep moving forward. Together, they chase the chance to make water polo matter again.
