Odd Taxi

Odd Taxi follows Hiroshi Odokawa, a blunt walrus taxi driver who prefers quiet nights behind the wheel in a city of anthropomorphic animals. From the back seat of his cab, he hears fragments of other people’s lives: Kabasawa, a jobless man desperate for internet attention; a mysterious nurse; a struggling comedy duo trying to keep their act alive; and Dobu, a local delinquent whose involvement keeps pulling Odokawa into danger. What starts as a routine shift soon becomes a map of grudges, half-truths, and stray clues. As the nights pass, the city begins to close in around him. A missing-girl investigation starts circling back to Odokawa, while yakuza figures and corrupt police officers press from different directions. What begins as a collection of offbeat conversations slowly hardens into a slow-burn crime story, where each fare reveals another piece of a larger puzzle. Odd Taxi balances deadpan humor with mounting unease, turning an ordinary taxi route into a web of suspicion, consequence, and uneasy human connection.
