Nippon Sangoku is set in a near-future Japan that has collapsed under the combined weight of nuclear warfare, repeated natural disasters, and systemic corruption. From that devastation, the country is broken into three warring superpowers, ushering in a brutal modern Three Kingdoms period. Diplomacy has disappeared, every territory survives through military strength, and the struggle over scarce resources turns the remaining land into a constant fight for control.
At the center of that conflict is Aoteru Misumi, a low-ranking official who has spent most of his life in the background. Lacking both a prestigious military lineage and an aristocratic family, he nonetheless carries a fierce determination to end the senseless bloodshed consuming the nation. Armed with sharp insight and a persuasive voice capable of rallying people around him, Misumi sets out to challenge the power structure that keeps the war alive.
Nippon Sangoku tracks the rise of a man who believes unification is still possible even in a country ruled by force and exhaustion. As alliances shift and survival grows more precarious, his attempt to unite the fractured nation becomes a test of conviction, strategy, and will.
