Nausicaä del Valle del Viento

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is set a millennium after the catastrophic nuclear war known as the Seven Days of Fire, an event that destroyed nearly all life on Earth. In the centuries since, humanity has been forced into a constant struggle with a treacherous jungle that evolved in response to mankind's destruction. The forest is filled with poisonous spores and enormous insects, and it continues to spread across the planet, threatening the remnants of human civilization. At the edge of this hostile world stands the peaceful farming kingdom of the Valley of the Wind, a settlement by the sea whose location shields it from the jungle's deadly toxins. Nausicaä, the Valley's charismatic young princess, tries to protect her people and understand the forces reshaping their world. Her quiet kingdom is thrown into turmoil when an airship from Tolmekia crashes in the Valley. After Nausicaä and the citizens uncover a sinister pulsating object in the wreckage, the Tolmekian military invades, intent on reviving a dangerous weapon from the Seven Days of Fire. As the threat grows and the toxic jungle closes in, Nausicaä must stop Tolmekia from triggering another cataclysm while defending the Valley from destruction.
