Medaka Box follows Medaka Kurokami, a brilliant, beautiful, and athletic student whose perfection is matched only by her desire to make other people happy. When she runs for Student Council President at the prestigious Hakoniwa Academy and wins with 98% of the vote, her first act is to install the "Medaka Box," a suggestion box where any student can submit a request for help.
Alongside her childhood friend Zenkichi Hitoyoshi, a cynical boy who is strong-armed into serving at her side, Medaka throws herself into solving problems at a baffling pace, and every completed job earns another flower in the student council room as she tries to fill the entire school with them. What begins as an absurdly energetic school-life setup gradually reveals a darker side of Hakoniwa Academy, where the requests become stranger and the hidden conflict around the campus grows more dangerous.
As Medaka and Zenkichi are pulled deeper into that conflict, they uncover a devastating plan tied to the academy itself and even to Medaka. The result is a franchise built on over-the-top action, eccentric characters, and a heroine whose idealism is tested by a world far stranger than it first appears.
