Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon

Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere unfolds in a distant future where humanity has abandoned a ruined Earth for the stars, only to be driven back when an unknown force makes space travel impossible. On returning, people discover that Earth can no longer sustain them, with one exception: Japan. To house the surviving population, pocket dimensions are built around the country, and humanity begins reenacting its own history according to the holy book known as the Testament. By 1413 of the Testament Era, the nations that emerged from those pocket worlds invade and conquer Japan, forcing its original inhabitants into exile. Centuries later, in 1648, those refugees live aboard the city ship Musashi, which circles Japan under the constant surveillance of the Testament Union, the authority overseeing the historical reenactment. When the Testament suddenly stops revealing what comes after 1648, rumors of apocalypse and all-out war begin to spread. Amid that uncertainty, Toori Aoi, head of Musashi Ariadust Academy's Supreme Federation and president of the student council, gathers his classmates and allies. Together they seize the chance to fight for Musashi, challenge the powers that control Japan, and reclaim their homeland.
