Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda. (The Anthem of the Heart) follows Jun Naruse, who has spent years carrying the weight of one childhood mistake. After telling the truth about her father's affair, she watches her family fall apart, and that pain takes on the shape of a fairy-tale curse: a fairy egg that seals her voice and leaves her unable to speak without pain. Silenced by guilt and fear, Jun learns to live behind that barrier, even as loneliness closes in around her.
Years later, Jun is unexpectedly selected to perform in a high school musical with Takumi Sakagami, Natsuki Nitou, and Daiki Tasaki. She initially goes only to refuse, but hearing Sakagami sing opens a door she thought had closed forever. As rehearsals continue, Jun is forced to confront the shame she has hidden for so long and the fear of being heard. At the same time, the others reveal their own hidden wounds, and the musical becomes a fragile space where they can face what they have kept inside. Through that shared effort, music offers them all the possibility of a voice.
