Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate centers on Yuuki Oojima, a member of his high school's Food Research Club, where the daily routine is built around eating snacks bought with the budget the school assigns to the group. That comfortable, wasteful life is thrown into jeopardy when the student election approaches, because the result could decide whether the club survives at all.
Satsuki Shinonome, one of the leading candidates and the head of the department of financial affairs, campaigns on a platform that would disband meritless clubs like the Food Research Club and redirect their budgets to more deserving groups. Her popularity and competence make her a formidable threat, and the election quickly turns into a fight over the club's future.
With club president Chisato Sumiyoshi determined to protect their place at school, Yuuki and the rest of the Food Research Club are forced to think beyond their usual lazy afternoons. What starts as a dispute over club funding becomes a test of loyalty, resourcefulness, and how far they are willing to go to keep their small world intact.
