Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and the Inexperienced Me follows shy, reclusive Ryuuto Kashima, whose world barely extends beyond the classmates he watches from a distance. When a bet with his friends pushes him to confess to the school’s most popular girl, Runa Shirakawa, he expects an immediate and humiliating rejection. Instead, Runa surprises him by agreeing to date him, pulling the inexperienced boy into a relationship he never imagined he could have. Ryuuto soon realizes that being with Runa is far more overwhelming than winning her attention. Wanting to protect the fragile new bond, he asks that their romance stay a secret known only to their closest friends, but the decision only creates new misunderstandings and awkward moments. As the two stumble through their differences, Ryuuto confronts insecurities tied to his past experiences, while Runa begins to see past the rumors and assumptions surrounding her own popularity. Their routine is shaken again when Maria Kurose, Ryuuto’s middle school crush, transfers into his class. At the same time, harmful gossip starts spreading about Runa at school, forcing Ryuuto to act quickly and prove how much she means to him. Through jealousy, trust, and the pressure of keeping their relationship hidden, the pair slowly learns what it takes to build something real.
