Kantai Collection

Kantai Collection unfolds in a world where the seas are constantly threatened by the Abyssal Fleet, a hostile force that conventional weapons cannot stop. Humanity’s answer is the Kanmusu, girls who embody the spirits of Japanese warships and fight with weaponized equipment at naval bases built to hold the line against the enemy. At the center of Kantai Collection is Fubuki, a timid Destroyer-type Kanmusu who arrives at the base as a new recruit and is placed in the renowned Third Torpedo Squadron. Outmatched and overwhelmed, she is pushed into dangerous battles far beyond her comfort zone, including a brush with near annihilation that forces her to confront how much she still has to learn. Rather than giving up, Fubuki resolves to grow stronger and prove that she belongs among the Kanmusu around her. The series balances naval combat with everyday camaraderie, following the strain of a war fought at sea while emphasizing the bonds, discipline, and determination that carry the girls through each engagement.
