In The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold to Another Kingdom, the kingdom of Ziltonia has relied on the Adenauer family for generations, producing saints who shield the land from monsters and calamities. The newest pair are sisters Philia and Mia Adenauer. Philia, the elder sister, is a prodigy whose abilities let her resolve problems with remarkable speed, while Mia is less extraordinary in raw talent but beloved throughout the country for her warm personality. Different as they are, the two sisters share an unbreakable bond.
At home, Mia is the only person who truly cares for Philia. Philia's expressionless face and distant manner bring constant criticism from her parents and complaints from the public, and even Julius Ziltonia—the second prince and her fiancé—decides he would rather marry someone more outwardly charming. He breaks off their engagement and sends Philia to the neighboring kingdom of Parnacorta, which has recently lost its own saint, in exchange for money and resources.
Philia has no voice in the decision and goes to Parnacorta expecting to be treated no better than she was in Ziltonia. Instead, she receives a far warmer welcome, including support from Oswald Parnacorta, and begins using her gifts to raise barriers against monsters and cure outbreaks. As Philia starts to find a place where she may finally have people worth smiling for, the homeland that cast her aside edges toward disaster without her.
