Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara

If Her Flag Breaks follows Souta Hatate, a high school student who can see the invisible "flags" that shape a person's fate in the world of visual novels—romance flags that open a heroine's route, death flags that signal a future tragedy, and other turning points that can alter the course of a story. He can bring these flags down to stop certain events from happening, and has already used that power to prevent other people's deaths. Yet a past accident left him as the sole survivor, and since then he has believed that only misfortune will befall anyone who grows close to him, so he has avoided making friends or having relationships. Everything begins to change when Souta transfers to a new school. After he topples another death flag, his classmate Nanami Knight Bladefield notices his powers and tries to learn more about him, promising that she will remain at his side no matter what may happen. From there, Souta's life expands into new friendships and new responsibilities as he meets friends and acquaintances, while the mystery behind his ability deepens and suggests that his power may reach far beyond what anyone expects.
