Isekai Shikkaku

Isekai Shikkaku follows Sensei, a celebrated writer whose only desire is to die in a double suicide with his lover, Sacchan. Before he can carry out that plan, a truck sends him into another world, where a priestess named Annette mistakes him for the sort of adventurer destined to save the realm and assigns him the familiar task of defeating the demon king. Sensei rejects the role of a chosen hero and instead pursues a far more personal goal: finding Sacchan, convinced that she must have been brought to the same strange world. His search brings him into contact with Tama, a martial artist he saves from mortal danger. Grateful and intrigued by the bleak, self-destructive writer, Tama decides to travel with him, and Annette later joins the pair, determined to keep Sensei alive even as she remains captivated by his intensity. As the three of them cross monster-infested lands, they discover that ordinary human beings may be the greatest threat to the world’s peace. In a setting full of demons, danger, and false expectations, Sensei’s refusal to become the standard hero may be exactly what the world needs.
