Hal

Hal follows Kurumi, a young woman devastated by the sudden airplane accident that kills her boyfriend, Hal. Unable to move past the loss, she withdraws into a small house and sinks deeper into grief. To help reach her, Kurumi's grandfather turns to Q01, a humanoid robot sent to ease her isolation. Taking on Hal's appearance, Q01 begins visiting her day after day, patiently trying to pull her out of despair and give her a reason to face the world again. At first, Kurumi resists the android's presence, seeing only a painful reminder of the man she loved. But as Hal continues to return and persists in his efforts, she slowly begins to open up, and the distance between human sorrow and mechanical compassion starts to narrow. Beneath the familiar face, however, lies a deeper mystery that changes the meaning of their bond and forces both of them to confront what it means to love, to grieve, and to keep moving forward after heartbreak. Hal blends romance, melancholy, and science fiction into a quiet story about healing, memory, and the fragile connections that can still grow in the wake of loss.
