Gungrave

Gungrave follows Brandon Heat and Harry MacDowel, two friends so close they might as well be brothers, whose days of local brawls, seducing women, and committing petty theft come to an abrupt and violent end when the world around them exposes its merciless side. What begins as a reckless, almost carefree youth slowly turns into a story about how easily loyalty can be bent, how ambition can harden into obsession, and how little mercy exists for anyone trying to survive in a brutal city. Their path leads them into Millennion, the largest and most infamous mafia syndicate in the area, where Brandon and Harry start at the bottom of the food chain. Harry dreams of climbing the ranks and one day replacing Big Daddy as the supreme leader of Millennion, while Brandon wants only to stand beside his friend and stay close to the woman Brandon loves, who has been taken into Big Daddy's custody. As the years pass, Gungrave builds an epic tale of friendship, betrayal, and avarice, letting every choice leave a scar until the story gradually circles back to the dark opening that made their fall impossible to ignore.
