Glasslip follows Touko Fukami, a quiet high school girl in Fukui who comes from a family of glass artisans and dreams of becoming a glass artist in her own right. As she moves through the last stretch of summer, brief flashes of images from the future and disembodied voices begin to intrude on her ordinary days, leaving her with the feeling that something in the world is about to shift. What should have been a calm season slowly becomes charged with uncertainty, and Touko is forced to live with impressions she cannot explain or control.
On her eighteenth summer, that unease deepens when the transfer student Kakeru Okikura arrives at her school and later appears again at Kazemichi, Touko's favorite café, alongside all four of her friends. The voices from the future seem to pull Kakeru toward her, and his presence disturbs the comfortable rhythm she has built with the people around her. Glasslip follows all six friends through a memorable summer shaped by hope, affection, confusion, and the small heartaches that come with growing closer to one another.
