Fairy Gone is set in a world where fairies live inside animals and grant them strange abilities. During the war, that power was weaponized through a brutal process that removed the organs of a possessed animal and transplanted them into humans, allowing fairies to be summoned as alter egos. The people who fought with them became known as Fairy Soldiers, and when the war finally ended they were left to decide what future they wanted to build. Some entered government service, some drifted into the mafia, and others embraced terrorism, carrying the conflict into peacetime.
Nine years later, Mariya joins Dorothea, the organization tasked with investigating and suppressing fairy-related crimes. As political tensions remain unstable, the scars left by the war and older conflicts begin to surface again, and revenge-driven attacks spread across the country. Against that backdrop, Fairy Gone follows these Fairy Soldiers as they navigate shifting loyalties, confront the legacy of the war, and struggle to define their own justice in a fractured postwar world.
