Cross Ange

Cross Ange centers on Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi, the first princess of the Misurugi Empire, in a world reshaped by Mana, a technology that has pushed war and pollution into the background and created a fragile peace. That peace, however, is built on exclusion: those born without Mana, known as Norma, are treated as dangerous outcasts and denied the comfort and protection of society. Raised in privilege, Angelise grows up condemning them from a distance, unaware of how fragile her own place in that world really is. When a public revelation exposes Angelise as a Norma, her life collapses and she is sent to Arzenal, a remote military base where outcast women are forced to pilot Paramail units against massive DRAGONs. Cut off from the status, certainty, and authority she once took for granted, she must survive among the people she once despised while adapting to a brutal hierarchy that gives her no easy escape. As the conflict deepens, Cross Ange follows Angelise’s struggle to endure, to confront prejudice from both sides, and to uncover the darker truth behind the war that surrounds her.
