Synopsis
Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou follows Kazunari Usa, a first-year high school student who finally gets the chance to live on his own after his parents relocate for work. Hoping for a quiet start and a little independence, he moves into the Kawai Complex, a boarding house that quickly proves to be far more chaotic than he expected. The residents are eccentric, the atmosphere is unpredictable, and each day brings a fresh mix of embarrassment, misunderstanding, and interruption, turning Usa's dream of self-sufficient student life into a crash course in surviving communal living.
What makes life at the Kawai Complex so unsettling is also what gives the series its charm: the people around Usa are strange, memorable, and impossible to ignore. As he struggles to adapt to their habits and the constant disorder of the house, he also finds himself drawn to Ritsu Kawai, the shy upperclassman who lives there as well. Their relationship develops slowly and quietly, giving Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou a gentle romantic center while the comedy grows from Usa's awkward efforts to keep pace with the other residents.
Blending romantic comedy with slice-of-life warmth, the series follows Usa's attempts to navigate shared living, endure the endless eccentricities of the Kawai Complex, and inch closer to the girl who first caught his attention. At the same time, it captures the small frustrations and fleeting comforts of daily life in a boarding house where privacy is scarce, personalities collide, and even ordinary routines become memorable.
