Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo unfolds in a futuristic world ruled by the Maruhage Empire, a militant regime that steals people’s hair and, with it, their freedom. Standing against that absurd tyranny is Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, a man with a golden afro, nose hairs of steel, and training in the art of fighting with hair itself. After rescuing a teenager named Beauty from Maruhage soldiers, he sets out to bring down Emperor Tsuru Tsurulina IV and stop the campaign to strip the world bare.
As Bo-bobo pushes deeper into enemy territory, his crusade turns into a wacky procession of duels, nonsense, and escalating battles against the Empire’s grunts, villains, and assorted deviants. New allies join the cause, including Don Patch, Heppokomaru, Softon, and Tennosuke Tokoro, and the group lurches from one surreal confrontation to the next while trying to save all the hairs of the world. Light-hearted and relentlessly comical, the series mixes parody, gag humor, and off-the-wall action into a fun, chaotic adventure built around its war on the Maruhage Empire.
