Blood-C follows Saya Kisaragi, a cheerful schoolgirl who spends her days at a quiet rural academy trying to live like any other student while sharing ordinary moments with her classmates and the villagers around her. By night, however, she takes up the ceremonial sword entrusted to her by her father and hunts grotesque monsters that threaten the fragile calm of her home. The contrast between her bright daily life and the violence of those nocturnal battles gives the series its uneasy rhythm, because each victory seems to leave the village a little more unstable than before.
As unsettling visions grow more frequent, Saya begins to suspect that the people around her are hiding far more than they admit. The routines she trusts start to feel staged, the boundaries between duty and illusion blur, and the rules she has always followed become harder to believe. Driven to uncover the truth behind her home, her memories, and the covenant that governs the village, Saya is pulled deeper into a tense mix of supernatural horror, mystery, and action. Blood-C keeps her trapped at the center of a reality that grows more disturbing with every answer she uncovers, forcing her to protect a place that may not be what it seems.
