Another follows Kouichi Sakakibara, a transfer student who returns to class 3-3 of Yomiyama North Junior High after spending the first month of school on sick leave. Almost immediately, he is drawn to Mei Misaki, a quiet girl with an eyepatch whom he met in the hospital during his absence. The problem is that none of his new classmates acknowledge Mei’s existence; instead, they warn him not to get close to things that do not exist. Kouichi ignores their caution, befriends her, and begins to understand why everyone around him seems so afraid.
A grim rumor hangs over class 3-3 and the former student at the center of it, but no one is willing to tell Kouichi the full story. As the curse that plagues the class tightens its grip, strange tragedies begin to strike, and the connection between Mei and the disaster becomes harder to ignore. With the atmosphere growing more suffocating by the day, Kouichi, Mei, and their classmates are forced to confront the eerie mystery behind their classroom, knowing that every answer brings them closer to a heavy price.
