Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta?

Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta? follows Hideki “Rusian” Nishimura, an otaku who once confessed to a girl in an online game and was brutally rejected. The shock gets worse when he learns that the avatar’s player was actually an older man in real life, leaving him convinced that he should never trust another girl he meets online. Years later, Rusian belongs to a guild with three other players, including a female avatar named Ako, who openly declares that she loves him and wants to marry him. Rusian suspects Ako might be a guy too, but accepts her proposal as long as she remains cute in-game and gender does not matter. What begins as an awkward promise turns into a strange daily routine as guild chat, school life, and offline meetings start to overlap. When the guild members agree to meet outside the game, Rusian discovers that Ako and the others are not only real girls, but also his schoolmates, turning his private online world into an even more complicated relationship game.
